Hello
I am Axel Mercado a Physician Associate, and the proud owner of Advanced Health Choice, Inc (AHC). Since 1996, I have been providing care for patients in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and their home environment.
The last few years I have joined the telemedicine revolution to treat my patients and have become a provider for RevDoc which allows the opportuntity to continue to manage my patients video and home visits.
How it all started
I went into the medical field after working as a US Army Medic in active duty, US Army Reserve and the Florida National Guard. In 1996, I graduated from Nova SouthEastern with a Masters in Public Health and a Bachelors in Physician Assistant ( PA ) Studies. During my career working as a PA, I have treated 1000's of patients over the last 30 years in Primary care, Internal Medicine - Nephrology, Pre-Op / Post -Op General Surgery specializing in wound management and Urgent Care. Earlier in my career I was also an Academic Coordinator for the Miami Dade College PA Program and have served as an Associate Professor and preceptor to PA students.

The vast amount of knowledge and experience that I have acquired and continue to seek, gives me the opportunity to do what I love; which is treating, and educating my patients about their health issues so they can live a healtier and happier life. Most importantly I have learned that everyone is different so what works for someone may not work for others, and you or the person I will attend deserves to be treated with respect, empathy and dignity.
As my patient, I will provide the best care possible within my scope of practice. My goal is to gain your trust and confidence. I can truly help you not only when you are sick but with preventive health care, teaching you and your loved ones, how to live a heatlhier lifestyle to maximize your health.
